A High-Performance Trainer, Inspired by the Record-Breaking Super Shoe
There’s so much to love about the speed-inspired adidas Adizero Evo SL, it’s hard to decide what to mention first. We’ll get things rolling with the full-length Lightstrike Pro midsole, providing you with a lightweight and bouncy experience underfoot. Each stride feels well-cushioned and incredibly responsive thanks to the 39 mm/32 mm stack height, helping to optimize on energy return throughout the run.
When you first lace up this super trainer, you can easily see the racing aesthetic it’s trying to create. The engineered mesh upper provides a more comfortable fit than the Adios Pro Evo 1 but keeps it feeling lightweight and speedy. adidas opted to use Continental Rubber as well as CL Rubber along the outsole, giving the Adizero Evo SL enhanced traction on a variety of surfaces. To cap it all off, adidas utilized at least 20% recycled content to craft this speedy thing, helping to reduce waste.
Features & Benefits
- Full-length Lightstrike Pro foam provides optimal energy return with plenty of comfortable cushioning

Evo SL First Impressions
This is a fast shoe which brings my stride to life. So far the two VO2 max workouts I did in them were very effective. I am looking forward to more workouts and it has become part of my 6 shoe rotation.

Excellent Easy Day Trainer or All-Around!
Once again, I love these shoes and they are my default easy day trainer to put in the miles. Great cushioning and feel soft enough to run easy while still having a little "pop" to pick up the pace if you need it!

Excellent Daily Trainer
The shoe is very comfortable. I can run in it in different paces. It is responsive and doesn't slow me down when I want to pick it up a bit more. Great value for such a versatile shoe.

Wide foot friendly
I've got slightly wide feet and these fit great. Fits true to size. Plenty of room for the toes too. Have only done a few runs but the ride is great so far.

Great pair
You can tell by wearing them why they were named the best overall running shoes of 2025

New Favorite Shoe!
I’ve put ~40ish miles in this pair so far and I’m absolutely loving them. They’ve been pretty versatile in the types of runs, from easy daily mileage to a 14 mile long run.

Excellent Easy Day Trainer or All-Around!
I'm on my 3rd or 4th pair of these shoes, was a pleasant surprise to find something with great cushion in a nice price range that holds up well to a lot of miles on my easy days. Nothing too fancy, just a great, reliable shoe that will help when my legs are feeling flat but also can up the pace when required.

Adidas Evo SL
Really like this shoe! I’ve been running in novablasts for a few years now. This shoe definitely compares to that shoe. It is a bit more cush and lightweight. I would definitely buy it again and add it as part of my rotation.I have used it for all kinds of runs (easy, tempo, interval and long runs) and it work for all of them.

The best shoe of 2025!
This was my third pair of Adidas Adizero EVO SL purchased this year from Marathon Sports. Easy runs, tempo runs, and long runs, these shoes are the best! My first pair are retired, second I save for rainy days, and the last pair are for racking up the miles. I live in Charleston SC, where no one carries Adidas. Even if there was a vendor here, I would still order them from Marathon Sports. They are the best!

Great shoe
Lightweight shoe - great as an everyday trainer and for races for the average runner. About 100 miles into wearing the shoe and I've found it comfortable in both slower and quicker paces. They seem to be durable thus far. Fits well, maybe slightly small fitting.

No Brainer Weekly Rotation
As always the EvoSL continues to work hard for the runner. The LightStrike foam is ridiculously fun to run in and I look forward to using these 4-5 times a week in my rotation.

They live up to the hype
I’ve got over 60 pairs of running shoes, and honestly, Adidas has always been the brand I’ve struggled with the most. The fit usually feels way too tight, and for casual wear the comfort just hasn’t stood out. These, though? Totally different story. They’re super fun to walk or run in—light, bouncy, and just plain fun. The pair on the right felt a little uncomfortable on day one, but that broke in quickly. Style-wise, they look really slick. My wife normally hates how running shoes look, but she actually asked me to grab her a pair of these. That says a lot.

Silver Adidas Evo sl
Very good experience so far. Comfy and very roomy shoes with amazing foam. Great so far for all types of runs. Only downside would be the tongue is a little short.

Great “Everything Trainer"
The Evo SL is a great shoe that is very versatile. I have used it for long runs, short runs, and recently for a half marathon. My concerns are about the tongue, which tends to move, and the laces, which feel cheap.

Fantastic Shoe
These shoes are extremely versatile, but really shine at faster paces. They are snappy and bouncy. I have done a couple of long runs with them, they feel soft and forgiving, and at the same time stable and responsive. These are some of my favorite shoes on the market right now.
Adam
Amazing trainer shoe. The evo SL is no slouch, love it for tempo and strides. Not the best for easy runs, as it wants to push you to go a bit faster with its bounce and pronounced rocker. Cant go wrong for the price to performance

Great value of a daily trainer!
Fit/Comfort: I normally wear 10.5's for my running shoes and these fit great. Lots of great padding while being really light for a trainer. Performance: A good mix of firm/squishy. Great for easy runs when you have strides or doing tempo runs. I probably would want something with softer cushioning for a recovery run, but these are pretty versatile. For the price, I don't know if you could find something more versatile. Durability: So far so good! Conti rubber is always tacky and there seems to be a good amount of rubber where these shoes should last for a while. When you consider the price, you're getting a lot! Overall: Definitely recommend these. They're really versatile, comfy, and responsive enough for most of your runs.

These are a daily trainer
These have been fantastic for almost every session I have done. They are comfortable enough to do daily easy running and the rocker/toe spring and the lightweight nature of the shoe allows for great turnover down to 5k efforts. The only thing that could be improved is the overall fit and lengthening the tongue on the shoe. Highly recommend and would buy another.

The hype is real!
Hard to believe, but these really live up to the hyper. Super lightweight and the midsole foam is incredible. It’s very well cushioned, but not squishy, which is my preference. I think it fits a little long though so I’m going to try to exchange for a 1/2 size smaller. This is a pretty consistent experience I have with the Adizero lineup though.

Great midsole foam, but the sole is a bit narrow at the heel
The midsole flares out more at the forefoot in a way that makes heel-striking sometimes feel a bit unstable compared to shoes like the Asics Novablast 5. However, the Lightstrike Pro foam in this shoe is much lighter and more responsive, making me prefer this shoe over the Novablast. I love the grip from the Continental tread on the sole. Overall, I enjoy the shoe, and it is a great value, but with only 51 miles on them I cannot speak to the durability other than the fact that they have held up well so far. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because the toe box does feel a bit narrow, and with the narrow heel on the ground contact point, this shoe won't be for everyone.

Very good
Through 150 miles of use, the EVO SL appears to be an excellent daily trainer (for running). It is very good at tempo paces, but also very good at easy paces. My legs feel a little more fresh with this shoe, vs. other shoes in my rotation such as the Ghost Max 2 & the Cloudmonster 2. The EVO SL is also about 20 seconds a mile faster at the same effort.

Returned
Tried these based on the great reviews. The foam felt cushy upon walking in them but didn't try any running on account of the forefoot width just too wide for my feet. Even with the laces as tight as I could do, in my regular size, with the eyelets bulging together, I could still feel my foot sliding from side to side. It's a shame because I wanted to like these, but the same issue has persisted across the SL2 running shoes to where I developed blisters and couldn't run in them anymore. I checked on RunRepeat and this shoe has one of the widest forefoot boxes of any model brand.
