Ridiculously Soft. The Pinnacle of Max Cushioned Running Shoes
The latest Vomero pushes max cushioning to the limits with a high stack of ZoomX foam and two energizing Air Zoom units. What you get from this stacked running shoe is an ultra-soft and comfortable experience with each step.
To the uninitiated, Air Zoom is a small unit within a shoe that’s packed with strong threads that contract and release as your feet contact the ground. Similar to the sensation you’d experience on a trampoline, Air Zoom units add an extra boost of energy to each step.
Much of the Vomero Premium from here on out resembles the Vomero 18, but, with how much the 18 got right, that’s a positive thing. An engineered mesh is used for the upper, helping to secure your foot in a soft, breathable hug. Webbed lace loops can be found in the lacing system, creating a more adjustable feel for a variety of foot shapes.
To cap things off, the Vomero Premium uses durable, high-abrasion rubber for the outsole, extending the lifespan of the shoes while giving you plenty of traction. All in all, the Nike Vomero Premium provides a premium and plush upgrade to an already plush running shoe, making it a great choice for daily training, recovery runs, or walking.

My second vomero premium purchase
This has been my favorite shoe for my easy and recovery runs, so bouncy and comfy, you barely feel the ground impact on your feet. Worth every penny!

Great for zone 2 runs. A bit heavy but cushioning is unmatched

So Much Bounce
The Nike Vomero Premium has the most cushion under foot of any other shoe on the market. They could have got that very wrong, but they didn't. It has so much squish and so much bounce, yet is surprisingly stable. The upper is padded in all the right places, but a tad over built. They could have saved a little weight by getting rid of some of the upper overlays like the big AIR printed on the side, but it's not too bad. The shoe feels fairly balanced. The outsole has really good grip and coverage of rubber. The air unit cut outs have a rigid piece protecting them from rocks and other sharp, though I would not take this shoe any gravel. Overall Nike nailed this one. Is it pricey? Yes. Is it heavy? Considering everything going on, not really. Is it a feeling like nothing else? Absolutely. Is it worth the money? Absolutely. I love it. I will probably buy at least another pair and probably one for my wife.

Moon Shoes
Love these shoes! They’re so bouncy and fun they feel like moon shoes. Definitely only for easy runs though.

It's not running
It's a different experience entirely. Like using a pair of rollerblades or cross country skis, putting on the Vomero Premium is like using a tool for a unique activity. The bounce is unlike anything you've felt, and tapping into it as effectively as possible takes some figuring out. But once you do, you bounce along in a way that feels mechanical, almost assisted. They provide abundant protection from the road, as expected from a shoe of this stack. As you might also expect, they are quite heavy. I hoped to use these for recovery and easy runs, and they work for that purpose, but the experience is more fun when you run just a bit faster, which can make them a bit of a grey zone warrior. A fun and wildly unique one, though. Given the price and heft, knocking off one star.
