A Trusted and Reliable Ride Built for Everyday Miles

Mizuno’s dependable moderate cushion daily trainer, the Wave Rider, is back and better than ever for its 29th iteration. The newest edition of this reliable neutral running shoe is softer, lighter, and more cushioned than its predecessor, all while maintaining the responsive and reliable ride that Wave Rider has become known for.

Made with a redesigned ENERZY NXT foam, the nitrogen-infused EVA midsole offers plenty of bounce and energy return to carry you through your daily mileage in comfort. The 29th version of the Wave Rider saw a slight increase in stack height, bringing the foam height to 39 mm in the heel and 29 mm in the forefoot. This updated stack height also brings to heel-to-toe offset to 10 mm, a lower, more moderate drop compared to the previous iteration’s 12 mm offset.

While there are a few key updates to the Wave Rider 29, Mizuno also maintains the features that gave this shoe its reliable, traditional ride that so many runners love. The Mizuno Wave Plate embedded in the midsole foam helps disperse impact and ensure a smooth ride, all while adding some structure and stability to each landing. The familiar jacquard mesh upper wraps the foot and provides a secure fit, while the X10 rubber outsole adds durability and longevity to ensure that runners can enjoy everything the Wave Rider 29 has to offer for miles and miles.

Mizuno Womens Wave Rider 29

They are great sneakers. They have helped me with some foot issues. I have been wearing this brand for over 4 years. I have a picture, but you do not have a way that I can attach.

Best running shoe

The wave rider is very light, lots of heel support, no ankle rubbing.

Awesome support but killing my arches

So the support of the shoe is great feels great for longer runs but the arches are making my arches spasm. I did switch the inserts to cheap orthotics but I've only be able to use them for my easy runs or recovery runs without arch issues. I'm very much neutral arch just as reference and I run between 6:30 and 8 min miles.
