The updated Nimbus 26 is one of the most comfortable Asics running shoes, offering soft landings for smoother transitions. This high-cushion running shoe takes what you love from the last iteration and only makes it better.
For immediate step-in comfort, the Nimbus 26 incorporates an OrthoLite™ X-55 sockliner, giving you a great first impression as you slip it on. For the midsole, Asics utilizes its FF BLAST™ PLUS ECO cushioning to offer a softer, yet responsive experience. This midsole foam is also made from approximately 20% bio-based content using renewable resources, lowering the overall carbon footprint. Another technology used in the midsole is Asics PureGEL®, giving the Nimbus 26 an even softer and lightweight feel.
The Asics Nimbus also features an engineered knit upper that softly wraps and secures your foot while also keeping it well-ventilated. Along the heel collar and tongue is a similar soft and stretchy knitted mesh, offering an adaptive fit that comfortably fits a variety of foot shapes. Finally, you may notice an increase in the longevity of your new Nimbus 26 trainers due in part to the upgraded outsole. ASICS®GRIP™ and AHAR®PLUS™ outsole rubber come together to increase grip and durability while also giving you a softer feeling underfoot.

My Marathon shoe
Excellent. During training for Boston Marathon I trained in various sneakers in an effort to find the most comfortable, supportive, durable and performance sneaker. The winner for me was the Asics Nimbus 26. I bought 3 pairs, trained in 2 and put 1 pair aside for the big race day. I'd highly recommend Asics.

Nicely cushioned shoe.
Amazingly comfortable shoe to run in. Fit was perfect. Nice solid but soft cushioned ride. Actually run faster in these and have to try to slow down. Cannot comment on durability yet since fairly new but look good so far.

Super comfortable and cushy!
I prefer a lot of cushion in my running shoes, and this shoe is great! I sized a half size up and the fit is perfect. It's snug, but I still have some room. The shoes have a good cushion and have been very comfortable on easy runs and long runs.

Love the ASICS gel 26!

Good shoe but preferred 25
The shoe is not bad. However, I preferred the Nimbus 25 better. This shoe is more stable versus the 25 has more cushion.

Great sneaker, 2 sizes
I had these sneakers in the past but needed new ones for an upcoming marathon. Purchased online and they sent in matched sneakers, 2 different sizes. Went to the store to exchange and they had none in stock so had to spend another $70 on the newer model, which I do not like as much.
