Have been wearing these shoes for a long time. Plenty of room in the toe box, good amount of cushioning yet still lightweight.

Altra Torin are the only shoes I wear.
You can’t beat the wide toe box for comfort. I have a bunion plus hammer toes so these allow my feet to wiggle in the shoe. Toe box is also deep.

Great shoe for me
Hi All- first of all I cannot believe the amount of time the Employee took with me, making sure I found the right size and right shoe for my needs. This shoe is perfect for me; it has a flat bed and she had me put an insert with it. It has helped tremendously. The Altra is so comfortable, the strain on my back has lessened. So the combination of the wonderful caring service at Marathon and the right shoe is perfection.

Love these shoes!
This is my favorite shoe..they are cushioned perfectly! Extremely comfortable for long miles! I wore these when I ran the Boston marathon!

Stiff tongue

Great shoe but the tongue causes blisters
I love altra and have used most of the torins. This version has an issue with the tongue and it cuts as you run. I heard it gets better but it’s definitely a flaw that needs to be corrected. Marathon Sports gets 5 stars!! They have great customer service and fast shipping. They also have a great variety of alta shoes. Most running stores only carry the lone peak, which is also a great shoe.

Not as cushioned as the 4.5
These are ok but definitely not as much cushion as the Torin 4 or 4.5! Altra should have left well enough alone!
