The major highlight in the Altra FWD VIA 2 is the all-new midsole, now using Altra EGO™ P35 foam that’s 19% softer and 15% more responsive than the OG. This helps create a lighter, more efficient running experience that elevates this running shoe even higher.

Another change from the previous model is the revamped, engineered mesh upper with the addition of an updated, plush tongue. The new upper fits comfortably snug, easily securing your foot while increasing overall comfort and breathability. A plush tongue rests on the top of your foot, providing a softer feel as soon as you slide your foot in.

One thing that hasn’t changed is the utilization of rocker-shaped geometry, encouraging forward motion to ease you through the gait cycle. This transition assistance helps create more efficient strides that feel natural.
