Shoe and Gear Reviews
The adidas Adizero Boston 13 offers an energetic and responsive experience that works well for uptempo workouts, long runs, and race day

The adidas Adizero Boston 13 embodies the energy and excitement you’d expect to feel after lining up on race day. Lace-up the new, engineered mesh upper to experience the lightweight fit that securely wraps your foot, allowing you to stay focused on your run. Another update to the Boston 13 is an extra 13.8% Lightstrike Pro in the midsole, giving you more of adidas best-in-class foam for enhanced responsiveness and cushioning.
Incorporated into the midsole you’ll find adidas EnergyRods 2.0, helping to limit energy loss while also adding a little extra pop to each stride. The adidas Boston 13 is a high performance trainer that works well for uptempo training runs, longer runs, and can even be utilized on race day. Made with at least 20% recycled materials, adidas is doing its part to reduce waste and lower its overall carbon footprint.

Probably best shoe on the market when it comes to speed sessions at marathon pace and faster. Firm, very responsive, stable, and super reliable. Absolute monster on the track, especially on the curves where you need some stability and firmness.

Can’t wait to use these. Signed up for the BAA Half in November and planning for them to be my race day shoe. Trying them on, they fit great, have a nice bounce too.

I have about 50 miles on the Boston 13’s so far. Feels like a grown up version of the Evo SL’s which are loose, erratically bouncy, and light. The Boston’s are rigid, narrower at the toes, and complicated underfoot with foams, rods, and varying outsole materials.
