Let’s see, overall it was a great week!
I made up some mileage, did some speed work, ran with Chatham, and ran a new route to see the sunrise from a new view…oh and waited out a wind storm before completing the long run.
How much do you love a good rest day? I love a good rest day. #restdaybrags
Monday was great to make up 7 miles before work on a foggy morning on fresh legs, which really set up the rest of the week.
Chatham is the best pup for a good morning run. My plan called for 8 miles but with her stretching “ready to go” attitude on Wednesday morning, I decided to split the run between two 4 mile runs. I had done the same sort of “doubleheader” the week before and I am so glad my legs handled this one much better.
Sunrise before the storm
If I had to pick a favorite run of the week, it was definitely Thursday.
Of course, why wouldn’t it be? I knew it was the last day of awesome weather for the week, and I had some new running gear! The adidas ultra energy line of running apparel is awesome. I particularly enjoyed the 7” shorts. They are super light weight and have a great liner.
As luck would have it (and I predicted at the end of last week’s post) – the weather took a downturn on Friday and the wind stayed around until Saturday night. Because of this, we pushed our 18 mile long run to Sunday and opted for indoor tread and stairwheel on Saturday.
Now we are off to a new week, Monday rest day is OVER and it is time to get some miles in before another round of SNOW hits!
Thank you for your continued engagement, and I hope your week is going well. Be sure to check out my fellow ambassador’s (@byemilystephens) posts, too!
