Introducing a new kind of beast, the On Cloudmonster Hyper, a lightweight super shoe that’s scary fun to run in. The Cloudmonster Hyper joins the Cloudmonster family with even more responsiveness than its predecessors with a large amount of cushioning.
Just like the originals, the Cloudmonster Hyper is designed with premium midsole tech. First, we have Pebax-based Helion™ HF (hyper foam) from On that absorbs impact while delivering maximum rebound. Second, is a layer of Helion™ superfoam that adds even more cushioning with added bounce. Coupled with these layers are the Extreme CloudTec®️ pods, bringing you a third level of impact protection that also offers maximum energy return.
The On Cloudmonster Hyper redesigns the lockdown experience with an engineered woven upper that’s made from 85% recycled polyester. This microfiber upper securely wraps the foot and helps increase overall breathability. To aid in securing your foot, the Cloudmonster Hyper utilizes high-grip woven laces made with silicone into the upper.

On Running Men's Cloudmonster Hyper
As always, marathon sports is very conscientious with the items they sell, and I received the shoes in an appropriate amount of time. The shoe itself, as many know, is somewhat unusual looking, but it’s a fairly plush ride, and it is in my lineup for daily trainer, among others. I tend to use it on my slower runs or recovery runs until I break it in. But so far so good. One thing I would pay attention to if you’re considering the shoe is that at least for me, and granted I have a very high instep, is that at the top, it’s someone somewhat tight and the toebox for me was slightly tight, but not enough to go up a half size for me. Now that I started breaking them in some, they fit much better. But I would pay attention if you have a very high instep or wide feet you might want to go up half size.

Solid Daily Trainer
150 miles in and it's a really good every day shoe. Durable, with solid protection. Would not buy if not on sale though

Cloud Monster Hyper
I've run a little over 100 miles in this shoe over the course of the past month. My usual run has been anywhere from 5-10 miles. Pace ranges from 9:30 down to 6:30. The shoe works well as a daily trainer, but also encourages you to go faster. I find that most of my runs become progression runs with this shoe. It's definitely protective, supportive, and well cushioned. The forefoot has some nice compression, but overall the shoe isn't very mushy. I like this shoe way more than either of the first two cloud monsters. Not having a speedboard improves the ride for me tremendously. I am someone with mild stability needs and this shoe presents no problems for me

Really nice shoes but did not work for me.
These are beautiful. I also love the laces and feel of the material. However, I prefer other On shoes to this model. The foam under the heel is much softer than elsewhere. So, my heels sunk LOWER than the forefoot. I don’t like 0 drop shoes and sure would not like negative drop shoes. For me, the Cloudmonster 2 is the best in the Cloudmonster series.
