This dual-layer midsole is soft but is stabilized with the help of a plastic plate between each layer. This combination of plate and foam helps eliminate the need for a traditional medial post and provides mild-moderate stability in a non-traditional way.

Looking at the upper, the New Balance Vongo v6 has moved away from the Hypoknit from the past and has been replaced with a synthetic, engineered mesh. This new upper has been redesigned not only in material but also in shape, providing a secure lockdown.
