Explosive Energy Return In A Lightweight Racer

Toe the line in the New Balance FuelCell SC Elite v4, an ultra-light carbon-plated racer designed to elevate your performance when you need it. New Balance has spent years researching, and working with some of the fastest athletes in the world to perfect this evolved race-day shoe.

The FuelCell midsole is made with 100% superior PEBA-based foam and includes a full-length carbon fiber plate. Energy Arc technology combines this sports-specific carbon fiber plate geometry with strategic cutouts in the midsole foam, resulting in a propulsive experience with superior energy return.

Looking at the outsole, you’ll find solid rubber to give you all the traction you’ll need on the course as well as helping increase overall durability.

Feels Fast!

I've put ~100 miles on these so far for marathon training and they've been holding up well. Generally I feel like I'm going faster with the same or less effort than with other shoes (how much is just the placebo effect is anyone's guess, but it's still a real benefit!) They're very comfortable and have a wider toe area than other NB shoes I've tried, which is a huge plus for me.

Exceeded my expectations

I exchanged these from the asics Metaspeed and what a great difference. Definitely not as light but so much more comfortable. They run a bit narrow but zero issues. Carbon plate doesn’t really propel you towards your tippy toes which I found great for easy long runs
