Men's Mizuno Wave Rebellion

Have run over 25 Marathons being sponsored by different companies. This shoe is far from perfect but performs really nicely!

The Wave Rebellion is a great shoe for up-tempo days when you want a little extra bounce in your stride. The glass fiber plate in the midsole provides plenty of snappiness, and the ultralight weight of the shoe keeps me going when I near the end of my faster training days. I'm a big fan of the grippy outsole as well -- I don't worry about slipping in the rain in the Wave Rebellion. I could certainly see using this shoe for a fast 5k all the way up to a half marathon.

I remember being fitted my first time back in the day. It was the wave rider. It was just a very fun shoe to run in with the energy return. That's exactly what the wave rebellion is. Hands down the most fun I've ever had running in a road shoe. Incredible energy return and lighter than most shoes. Not to mention just looks sweet!

This shoe is tremendous - It has all the responsiveness of an endorphin speed but the cushion of a trainer. A great shoe for long workouts and races. Fit is pretty great as well. Fits a little bit larger than your standard mizuno rider or inspire.

Lucky enough to get my hands on a pair of this great new addition to the Mizuno line. Fast enough shoe for a tempo run or workout, with enough cushion to give it the versatility needed for easy runs. Will eagerly look to grab for this shoe each time out the door!

Great Mizuno build. Padded and secure in the heel, comfortable upper, but had to go half size up. Firm and fast underfoot, with good stability and propulsion thanks to the glass fiber plate. Tongue is quite thin and is prone to lace bite, but the sensation goes away while running.

It seems like everyone needs a Carbon Plate and a Springy Foam, well not everyone. For those who have felt the soft shoes slow them down and drain their energy the Wave Rebellion delivers with a lightweight, responsive foam under the foot that gives just enough softness for comfort. Think of Kinvara, Launch or Escalante, but much faster. The speed comes from the Glass Fiber plate that has been a Mizuno staple, but in this model creeps up a bit further to enhance the rocking motion a plate can give, without covering the whole foot. It gives you a little more control in the front especially going uphill or around corners. The depth of the carbon rubber on the outsole gives me hope that shoe could go for 500ish miles on the right foot. Personally I don't know if I am sold with the higher price tag of $180, but I am not turned off by it either. I think this definitely has a place in those that are a bit serious about speed and racing.
