HOKA Bondi vs HOKA Clifton Compared
Shoe and Gear Reviews
Experience a new generation of comfort in the HOKA Bondi 9, a high-cushion running shoe that helps support you on all your runs or walks

The HOKA Bondi 9 is one of the most consistent running shoes in the lineup, designed to deliver maximum cushioning for your everyday runs or walks. Reimagined from the ground up, HOKA increased the stack height and introduced a new, super-critical foam midsole for an incredibly soft yet resilient experience. With an upgraded 3D molded collar and a structured knit upper featuring zonal breathability, this fan-favorite wraps you in comfort the moment you lace them up.
To help extend the life of your new favorite trainers, HOKA incorporated Durabrasion rubber along the outsole, specifically in high-wear areas. This concept was thoughtfully designed to give you more miles without adding too much additional weight. Finally, run with confidence knowing the Active Foot Frame™ has your back, aiding your landings by providing additional structural support.

Been wearing Bondi 9s for a few years. I have very wide feet with bunions and hammer toes. I now wear these all the time. Even with my suit. Very comfortable.

This company is so professional, knowledgeable and respectful to their clients. They take the time to fit you to the best possible footwear. They are not pushy and listen to their clients. The first responders acknowledgment helps also.

Amazing shoes! I finally know what people mean when it feels like you’re “walking on clouds”. Perfect for walking and long days on your feet.

This shoe has abundant cushioning. It has helped substantially in my effort to heal plantar fasciitis. It takes much of the pain out of walking. The shoe also gives you the feeling that you should be running. Very energizing.

Ive primarily been using the bondi 9 for walks (~4 mile) as im recovering from plantar fasciitis, and I have found them very supportive and very comfortable.

This is a pretty good shoe for easy runs and recovery days. It also provides good cushion to minimize the impact of downhill running or if you are dealing with plantar fasciitis

I have used them each day since they were delivered on 14 AUG 2025 to do my fitness walk. I walk 6 miles each day. Same route each day. Three miles out and back. On both feet, the bottoms of my toes on each foot from 2nd toe across to the little toe have semi-calloused up and become rather tender. The right foot is worse off than the left. I'm less than pleased with my choice to go with HOKA instead of my original "go to" choice of BROOKS. I've been a runner since 1985 when I quit smoking. I turned 75 last WED, the 10th and have been running faithfully all these years, and I know about and have gone through a significant number of shoes. While the HOKA's are not the worst, for sure, I wouldn't buy them again. Especially not for $188.00. I apologize for being so harsh, but the truth is the truth as I experienced it. I wouldn't recommend these shoes to anyone that walks or runs as much as I do. I do think they'd be fine for anyone that has a job where they are on their feet a lot during the day, like a cashier or warehouse worker, something like that. Just not for any significant distance, or fitness walking, and probably not running more than three miles or so.

Worn out in less than 3 months. Not very exciting. Bring back the Bondi 7!!
