Tracksmith Eliot Ryder Review: A High Cushion Shoe in Disguise
Shoe and Gear Reviews
Experience the completely redesigned Brooks Glycerin 22, made with all-new DNA Tuned foam to create plush cushioning with responsive toe-offs

The Brooks Glycerin 22 is a plush, high-cushion trainer that’s seen a complete midsole upgrade this time around. This iteration features new DNA Tuned cushioning, a finely-tuned, nitrogen-infused foam that creates different zones of comfort. Larger cells in the heel give you a softer feeling while the tightly packed cells create a more responsive experience at toe-off.
Brooks didn’t stop at a midsole redesign, they kept the upgrades coming with an all-new double-jacquard mesh upper. This upper feels more luxurious than the previous warp-knit material, adding thick cushion around your heel and ankle. To help increase the longevity of the Glycerin 22, strategically placed rubber is used along the outsole, enhancing the overall traction and durability.

I purchased this Brooks Glycerine 22 in 6w, they fit so well and comfortable that I brought with me for two weeks vacation.I am very happy with Glycerin 22, love to buy again. Lynn

Fit true to size, maybe a smidge bigger, not enough to drop half a size if you wear decent thickness socks. I am so glad the shoestrings are still the style that does not come untied and you don’t have to double knot. They have great cushion and support which I expect from the Glycerin GTS. The fit around the heel is different and with the style socks I wear I do have to pull the socks up every once in a while in the back. Initially, when I tried them on, I wasn’t sure I would keep them as there is an odd cushion, a little lower down on the back of my heel. They’re the great fabric that seems to repel dirt and not show stains. I bought white for the first time and they look great! I actually like them so much that even though I bought them for work, I decided to keep them for home. So I plan to buy another pair for work.

I was very satisfied with my purchase from Marathon Sports. This is my first pair of Brooks Glycerin 22 and I just love them. I donated some of my Skecher shoes and I am selling the rest.

I have been using the Brooks brand for the last few years These were recommended by my podiatrist. The Glycerin model has become my favorite!

My overall experience has been excellent since I purchased the glycerin 22 sneakers. Over the past five years I have purchased so many sneakers trying to find ones that work with the issues I am experiencing with my feet. These are by far the best ones for me.

I didn't want to give up my cushioned running shoe but it was causing me ankle and IT band pain. These not only give my ankles so much stability, they are cushioned enough for long run foot comfort.

I wear almost nothing but these shoes. The good part is that they have helped enormously with Achilles tendinitis. The bad part is that the fabulous cushy gel sole that’s so therapeutic wears down quickly— at least it does for me.

I have every kind of foot and ankle fasciitis and tendonitis, and now wear nothing but sneakers. I was suspicious of this glycerin business at first, and miss my old Brooks style (which of course is no longer produced), but have been happily surprised: these give good support, are very comfortable, kind of bouncy, and easy to wear. In fact, this is now all I wear.

I love Brooks shoes, I just wish they had a narrower heel. These were perfect--excellent plush support for my high arches, light and flexible enough to roll through the foot. Just impossible to get a stable heel lock with narrow heels.

I wear these every day and they have helped hugely with chronic Achilles tendonitis. The only problem--and maybe it's only because I wear them constantly--is that the glycerin gel cushioning compresses over a few months, which defeats some of the purpose. This might be on me, though.

I only wear sneakers, and only wear these sneakers. They cushion beautifully with a buoyancy that's great for my ankle problems. But, at least for me, they flatten pretty quickly, which means I am often replacing them. This is only one personal experience, and buying them is worth it to me, but a customer should know this.
