For the 33rd iteration of Asics’ classic high cushion stability trainer, the Gel-Kayano saw some major upgrades. While it still delivers the same dependable cushioning and comfort, the newest version incorporates some updated technology that takes it to the next level on long runs or easy miles.
The Gel-Kayano 33 debuts FLUIDSUPPORT, a new type of stability technology that adapts to your changing biomechanical needs throughout your stride. This technology pairs a dual-layered midsole with enhanced shoe geometry to provide smooth and subtle forward guidance that moves naturally with you during runs and walks.
The dual-layer midsole, made up of FF Blast Max and FF Blast Plus foam, delivers a dynamic yet stable feel underfoot. This plush midsole foam is also paired with soft PureGEL in the heel for maximum impact absorption.
Along with all the midsole upgrades, the Gel-Kayano’s upper also saw some improvements. The redesigned breathable mesh comfortably hugs the foot, while the extra padding around the heel and tongue ensures a secure lockdown. Last but certainly not least, the HYBRIDGRIP outsole effectively reduces early wear, making the Gel-Kayano 33 one of the most durable daily trainers around today.
