The updated Nimbus 26 is one of the most comfortable Asics running shoes, offering soft landings for smoother transitions. This high-cushion running shoe takes what you love from the last iteration and only makes it better.
For immediate step-in comfort, the Nimbus 26 incorporates an OrthoLite™ X-55 sockliner, giving you a great first impression as you slip it on. For the midsole, Asics utilizes its FF BLAST™ PLUS ECO cushioning to offer a softer, yet responsive experience. This midsole foam is also made from approximately 20% bio-based content using renewable resources, lowering the overall carbon footprint. Another technology used in the midsole is Asics PureGEL®, giving the Nimbus 26 an even softer and lightweight feel.
The Asics Nimbus also features an engineered knit upper that softly wraps and secures your foot while also keeping it well-ventilated. Along the heel collar and tongue is a similar soft and stretchy knitted mesh, offering an adaptive fit that comfortably fits a variety of foot shapes. Finally, you may notice an increase in the longevity of your new Nimbus 26 trainers due in part to the upgraded outsole. ASICS®GRIP™ and AHAR®PLUS™ outsole rubber come together to increase grip and durability while also giving you a softer feeling underfoot.

Excellent running shoes
These sneakers are great for running. They are soft and cushioned yet provide good support. I wear them on the treadmill and they have good traction and provide comfort. Highly recommend!

Favorite work shoes

Nice fit, well cushioned
Originally ordered 1 size larger than normal but was too big. Returned with no problem and got half size larger and fit is perfect. I have a bunion on left foot so got the wide width which the shoe accommodates nicely. I walk 3 miles every day and hardly feel like I hav any shoes on. They are well cushioned.

Great Look, not the 25
I love the look of the new 26, but it has lost some of what made the 25 such a good daily trainer. The toe box is much narrower, I had to size up a half size, and it gets abrasive on longer and faster runs. My pair also developed a really gnarly squeak in the back right heel. It doesn’t happen while running but they’re unbearable to walk in. Otherwise a comfy shoe, picks up the pace well along with being soft enough for shorter recovery runs.

Comfortable shoe - wide toe box
Good shoe with a knit upper however the toe box is quite wide.
