Asics’ newest addition to its beloved supportive daily trainer lineup, the GT-2000, proves that stability shoes don’t need to sacrifice energy return, softness, and a fun, bouncy ride. The 14th iteration of their popular moderate-cushion support shoe incorporates some new updates and technology, all while maintaining the features that drew countless runners to previous GT-2000 iterations.
One of the biggest updates is in the midsole foam. The GT-2000 14 is made with a new full-length FF BLAST MAX midsole foam, creating a soft underfoot feel with plenty of bounce and rebound. Paired with a new trampoline-inspired forefoot pod, the plush yet bouncy underfoot foam creates a versatile daily trainer that can tackle long runs or give you the energy return you need for more uptempo days. The new engineered mesh upper is another positive change, offering plenty of stretch, padding, and breathability while securely wrapping the foot.
While the GT-2000 14 saw some key changes, loyal Asics fans will be happy to know that the brand also maintained much of what made the shoe so popular in the first place. PureGEL technology is strategically placed under the heel to absorb impact and guarantee soft, plush landings. Underneath the shoe, the reliable and familiar AHARPLUS heel plug and AHAR LOW HARDNESS outsole improve the shoe’s durability for long-lasting wear.
Another feature that runners will be happy to hear stayed the same is the unique 3D Guidance System. This unobtrusive support system provides stability and correction that guides your feet forward and reduces overpronation, all while maintaining a smooth and soft ride.

Great Shoes, Love Them!
These were just what I needed to kickstart my spring training. I had purchased GT-2000 in the past, but have been using some much more padded stability shoes. These have made training fun again. I haven't tried a long run but I am looking forward to that. A good purchase!

The upper on the sneaker is pillow soft. On my size 10, the medial posting did not provide a smooth heal to toe transition. I exchanged the Asics for the 10.5 size, and the heel to toe transition is much smoother. Thank you, Marathon Sports!
