Experience luxurious cushioning with the help of Altra EGO™ MAX, a plush yet lightweight midsole foam that provides a little extra bounce underfoot. This midsole foam helps protect your joints from impact and is more durable than other foams, increasing the longevity of your trail shoes.

Altra continues to use their signature Footshape™ technology in the Timp 5, giving your toes plenty of space to spread naturally while simultaneously securing the midfoot. When you’re bounding down a trail or rock-hopping, it’s nice to feel secure in your trail runners.

The Altra Timp 5 uses a Quick-Dry Air Mesh upper, offering increased ventilation in warmer weather. It also helps water drain quickly if you’re ever caught wading through deeper than anticipated rivers or puddles. The Timp 5 also has GaiterTrap™ details to easily attach a Trail Gaiter, giving you protection from trail debris.
