An Updated Trainer For Efficient and Smooth Miles
Take on new heights in the Altra Experience Flow 2, a second-generation trainer that features several big upgrades. First and foremost, we’re looking at a brand new midsole, the comfortable and lightweight Altra EGO™ P35 foam. This new foam focuses on three things: performance, efficiency, and comfort. Beyond the foam itself is the updated rocker-shaped geometry of the midsole, encouraging efficient and smooth heel-to-toe transitions.
The next update in the Experience Flow 2 is the redesigned upper, made with an engineered mesh to improve breathability. Lace them up for yourself and you’ll notice the updated heel collar, designed to create a more pleasant fit around the heel and ankle. Finally, the Standard FootShape™ fit you’ve come to love from Altra remains present, granting your toes plenty of space to spread naturally.

Great communication, fast delivery
I'm a new customer so you never know until the process is complete. Thids was a very good experience. Compeititve prices, free and timely delivery, and good communication from start of process through delivery. Very satisfying.

Light and Low [Staff Review]
Really light mid cushion shoe with plenty of toe space. The rocker allows the shoe to feel more responsive than the other altras which can feel very flat. I feel more sprung forward in the experience line from altra than in other options.

Experience Flow 2 after 2 runs [Staff Review]
I really enjoyed the step in feel of the shoes, the roomy toe box, and the cushion. I took them for a 8 mile run and a 3 mile run. This is a great daily trainer

Altra Experience Flow 2 - softer and flexy! [Staff Review]
The new Experience Flow 2 is a nice upgrade from the previous version. It feels softer and more responsive than its predecessor. I overpronate and need a little more support than what this shoe offers so I put a Superfeet insert inside to make it work better for me. I mostly use it as a supplemental trainer and am more intentional about mid to fore foot striking to improve biomechanics. This could be an awesome daily trainer for someone with better form than me!

Altra Experience Flow 2 [Staff Review]
Huge improvement over v1, more space in toe box, foam is softer / more exciting, good intro to low/zero drop running, great wide toebox daily trainer

A good addition to my rotation [Staff Review]
The Experience Flow 2 provided a softer ride than I expected. It's my first pair of Altras and I was skeptical because I've traditionally gone with Asics, Brooks, Adidas and I was worried about the shallow offset at 4mm and how it would fell on my Achilles. After 2+ miles in them I felt like they were forcing my calves to actually stretch a little more, which I liked. Also, I really like the plushiness that I gained without having to go with a really high stack. The roominess in the toe was nice. I don't think this will be an intense workout or long run shoe for me, but I will add it to the mix once or twice a week for those really low key maintenance runs in order to get some more stretch from my calves without risking too much Achilles stress during a workout or really long run.

Altra Gets Cushy [Staff Review]
Compared to Altras I had tried on in the past (but never run in) I was pleasantly surprised. The foam is soft and reasonably responsive. For me, though, the extra wide toe box and low drop makes for an uncomfortable running experience. I feel my toes trying to spread wide and hold on for dear life. Unfortunately, the feeling that my feet are working hard makes the shoes unenjoyable for easy/recovery runs--which should be the sweet spot for the cushy foam. I would still like to try them out for light track work or tempo loops to see if they feel better when I get up on my toes a bit. I haven't had the chance to do so yet, though.

Experience Flow 2 Review [Staff Review]
The shoes have a comfortable fit and feel nice to walk around in. However, I would say the cushioning is below average and would be too firm for me to comfortably run in on hard surfaces.
