The Beacon has arrived and it is SUPER! Super cushioned, super light, super comfortable. New Balance used a version of Fresh Foam for the outsole (rather than carbon rubber), which makes the shoe lighter than you would think, coming in at 7.7oz for men and 5.9oz for women. ALL THE FRESH FOAM
New Balance has managed to give the Beacon a surprising amount of cushioning in a lightweight shoe by using Fresh Foam Ground Contact – a foam compound that eliminates the need for full outsole rubber.
CIRCULAR KNIT MESH
Aside from looking cool, this mesh is highly breathable and completely seamless, wrapping your foot like a glove.
SOFT COLLAR CONSTRUCTION
This shoe is soft all over, even in the heel. The heel counter wraps around your achilles and ankle comfortably.
