27th Year Running!

Presented by the Somerville Road Runners, the Gobble Gobble Gobble road race starts and ends in Davis Square (at the heart of Somerville), features a unique 4 mile course, and offers a fun opportunity to start Thanksgiving on a high and healthy note! Proceeds benefit Somerville Homeless Coalition, Somerville Track PAC, Stride for Stride and Dilboy VFW Veterans Relief Fund.

T-Shirts

Register by October 25th to be guaranteed a long sleeve cotton t-shirt (unclaimed t-shirts may be available after the race). This year’s shirt sizes range from Youth XS through to adult 2XL.

Parking

Parking in Davis Square is limited. Arriving via public transit is recommended.

Bib and Shirt Pick-Up

Runners are encouraged to pick up their race bibs and shirts before race day. Pre-race day bib pickup will be held at Marathon Sports in Cambridge. Details TBA closer to race day! Race day bib and shirt pickup will be held at Seven Hills Park in Davis Square.

Prizes

Top three finishers in each division (M/F/NB) will receive the following prizes:

In addition, age group awards will be given to the first place male and female finisher in each of 7 age divisions: 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

Prizes will be mailed to winners. No prizes will be awarded on race day.

Bag Check

There will be a bag check in Seven Hill Park. Runners will need to pick up and drop off their bags pre and post race.

Post-Race Party

We will again be hosting post race festivities at the Burren in Davis Square before you head off for turkey day.

Course Rules

Please help us keep you and the rest of the 3,000+ Gobble runners and walkers safe on race day by respecting these rules of the road.

#1: Faster runners start up front, slower runners / walkers start towards the back
Trust us… this makes the race go more smoothly for everyone. If you’re not sure (or you’re pushing a stroller; see below), start towards the back. Your personal race time doesn’t start until you cross the timing mat at the start line, so no worries there.

#2: Running with kiddos is encouraged!
If your kiddo is old enough to walk or run 4 miles on their own two feet, they are welcome to run, but you need to register them. We have great perks for kids this year, like kid-sized shirts and medals for kids 12 and under. You’re also welcome to walk or run with a stroller, we just ask that (for safety reasons) you line up at the back of the pack and don’t plan on breaking any speed records. Slow, steady and safe, please!

#3: Running with doggos is a no-no
Please don’t run with your dog on race day, even though we’re sure that he or she is a very good boy (or girl). If you’re thinking of emailing us to argue about it… please don’t. The answer is still no.
