A Racing Shoe That Goes Beyond Fast
Meet the Puma Deviate NITRO™ Elite 4, a race-day rocket designed to help you run fast, smooth, and confident from the starting line to the tape. Built for PR-chasers and start-line regulars, it combines a featherlight feel with a dialed-in ride that stays composed when the pace heats up.
At the core is NITROFOAM™ Elite, Puma’s top-tier cushioning tuned for max energy return, giving you that springy pop without feeling sloppy. Paired with a carbon-fiber PWRPLATE, it creates a propulsive, efficient transition that encourages quick turnover and a powerful push-off, perfect for surges, hills, and late-race kicks.
A breathable, Ultraweave upper locks your foot in without bulk, while the PUMAGRIP outsole helps you stay confident rounding corners and running in imperfect conditions. Whether you’re lining up for a 5K or going all-in for the marathon, the Deviate NITRO™ Elite 4 is made to feel fast and keep you feeling fresh when it counts.

Fast and Light
Ran couple 5K, 10K and track races in these. Really great carbon shoes. Energetic foam without deep compression. Really propels you as soon as you make impact vs. feeling like a sponge then rebounds, which I was looking form. Stiff with the carbon plate. Outer is good. Ventilated, extremely light. Laces are decent. Only issue is every so often during racing the shoe makes a loud crack sound, as if the plate is snapping. Can't replicate it by hand, so makes me think I'm running over something that contacts the exposed carbon... maybe?

More than a little brother
The puma fast r 3 are the fastest shoes I have ever run in, The Hoka Cielo have the most bounce, With that being said the Puma elite 4 have a lot to offer, Very light and comfortable while being stable and very fast, They will be a perfect racing shoe for many people,

Lightweight Fun Shoe
I am 33 miles in with this shoe. It's remarkably lightweight on the foot. It's very peppy and I feel like I can run with it forever. Got my 4th highest PB on the first run. I'll take this on race day anytime.

So far so good
Planning on using it for Boston Marathon in a week. It's been solid in practice runs so far. Light and snappy but good stability. Hopefully that will be a good combo for Boston.
