New Balance’s High-Performance Racing Shoe, Now Lighter, Faster, and More Responsive Than Ever

New Balance’s distance racing shoe model, the SuperComp Elite, saw an even faster, more responsive upgrade in its 6th iteration. Built for speedy long distance races, the energetic SuperComp Elite v6 is the perfect companion as you push yourself towards a new PR.

A new midsole foam and geometry are the biggest updates in the shoe’s 6th version. New Balance replaced its traditional FuelCell performance foam with its new Infinion foam, an ultra-responsive, energetic cushioning designed for maximum spring and bounce with each step. This soft yet responsive midsole cushioning is paired with a redesigned carbon plate, aggressive rocker geometry, and sculpted midsole cutouts for improved momentum as you fly towards the finish line.

Around the top of the foot, a nearly translucent mesh FANTOMFIT upper offers a glove-like fit that securely hugs your feet. Light padding around the heel improves all-around step-in comfort, while the remarkably breathable mesh keeps your feet cool and comfortable in any race-day weather or conditions. The thin outsole helps reduce weight and bulk even more, creating plenty of grip and confidence as you pick up the pace.
