Excellent Shoe!
The 880 is my favorite shoe. I by it because it wears well and fits true to size. The cushion level is just right.

Heel Striker's Dream
Finally a shoe with enough rubber on the heel to last more than just a few small runs! Great for a daily trainer, beginners or even a long race at a slower pace ie. Half or Full marathon when your gate is short and slow. Soft cushion throughout. Make no mistake, these are not elite race day shoes but what they do for the other 90% of us is like a tank.

New Balance Men's Fresh Foam X 880v13
Very comfortable and lightweight shoe. This is my second pair, so I am very happy with the product. When I need to replace these, I will try whatever is the equivalent show again.

880 v13
The NB 880 v13 was my first shoe in ages that wasn't the 1080. I stocked up with several pairs a couple years ago and have used it for ages. Compared to the 1080 v9 it is actually a more plush ride. The fresh foam x has pleasantly surprised me. Most of my runs by necessity have to include lots of hills and the 880 has plenty of cushion both up and down. I also like the rubber outsole, it has stood up well so far. The shoe does run ~slightly~ narrow and short. My normal 11 1/2 4E is just a tad smaller than I would have expected. But just enough to be a slight annoyance and nothing more. This shoe has good rebound and seems pretty stable. I like the feel of it and would not hesitate to purchase it again.
