Sure as the sun rises and sets, you can bet the Brooks Ghost will be back each year just as reliable as the one before. The latest iteration, the Brooks Ghost 16, brings some changes we haven’t seen in some time with this model. The most obvious changes include the nitrogen-infused DNA LOFT v3 midsole foam and an enhanced upper.
Brooks has maintained a safe approach to midsole technology, consistently delivering a comfortable underfoot experience. The Ghost 16 midsole foam sees a shakeup for the first time in several generations and is now made with nitrogen-infused DNA LOFT v3. This updated foam is lighter than its predecessors and helps balance softness and responsiveness very well.
The Brooks Ghost 16 also sees a change to the upper, now using an engineered air mesh to balance stretchy comfort and secure structure. This revamped upper helps increase overall breathability, keeping your feet cool throughout your workout while wrapping them in complete comfort.
A reliable daily trainer has many features but one that always comes to mind is longevity. The Ghost 16 meets this criteria with the help of the lightweight, RoadTack rubber outsole, made with recycled silica. This outsole increases the shoe’s durability, allowing you to log more miles in your shoes before retiring them.
To make a great shoe even better, the Brooks Ghost 16 touts a carbon-neutral certification. What this means is Brooks increased the use of recycled content to lower their carbon emissions, then supported carbon offsetting projects to neutralize emissions.

Great everyday shoes

My Go-To Daily Trainers
This is my second pair of Brooks Ghost 16s (third pair of Brooks Ghost including the 15) and it's my favorite daily trainer. They are durable and when paired with the Superfeet insoles for low arch support--at Marathon Sports Rec--have given me significant mileage (~600+ mi) without significant wear.

Best sneakers
After a severe bout of plantar fasciitis, the podiatrist suggested I guy a pair or books. Best advise I have ever received. These sneakers saved my feet. I spend a lot of time on my feet and I don’t think I’d be able to continue without my Ghosts’. I’ve had 7 pair in the last three years.

Love the Ghost
Big Brooks Ghost fan. Used two pair in this half marathon build up. Put about 450 miles on the first pair before ordering a second. No aches or pains in this build up as compared to the past with other shoes.
