I've been through several pairs of these and they are a good balance of cushion and spring. It was nice to find them on sale, and fast shipping, too.

Novablasts are such a great shoe. Workouts, long runs, daily trainers, it does it all.

I've been running in the ASICS Novablast 5 for a few weeks now, and the cushioning feels incredibly soft and responsive on daily runs. They’re lightweight, comfortable, and make longer distances feel much easier on the legs.

Excellent shoe. Very bouncey and well cushioned but not over cushioned. Highly recommend. You’ll feel the extra spring in each step.

Second pair of novablast 5s and they are great again. Perfect for faster/longer/daily running or any mix of the 3. Will not be my last pair of novablasts

From the moment I put them on, I could tell the shoes got more bounce than Novablast4. I will have to see how they hold up but these shoes feel great. Also it looks better than novablast4 in my opinion.

I’m a beginner runner (6’0”, ~195–200 lbs) with slightly wide feet and a power-stride style, and this shoe has been amazing. Super comfortable, great cushioning without feeling too soft, and really easy on my knees and calves. Fits roomy and stable even for my foot shape. Honestly, couldn’t be happier.

It’s taken me a few years to accurately define my perfect “daily trainer” - and for me, it all comes down to durability, comfort, and consistency. Combine those 3 together and you get “dependable.” - The Novablast 5 is my favorite of the Novablast series by far (although I was a big fan of the 4 and 3 as well). I think what really does it this time is Asics’ overall rotation. With a Novablast for your daily/easy runs (that can handle some tempo too but no need if in the main rotation), Superblast for tempo/marathon pace runs, and Megablast for your long runs, you can’t top it, besides maybe throwing in the nimbus for true recovery but this is where Novablast shines because it can handle those perfectly as well. I’m usually not brand specific on rotations but this year it just makes sense. Add mara sports fast delivery, customer service and ease of returns on top of everything, and you’ve got a real winner. Pic taken at 50 miles. Literally these look brand new. (Granted I haven’t ran in wet conditions yet but still. Wild).

Cushioned daily, feels more cushiony than previous version. Had to order half a size up. I ran over 300mi in the previous version but these are so soft that I think they will last slightly less. The design is better and overall fit too.

I’ve always been a huge fan of the Novablast and this version is no different. It’s my go to daily trainer, along with the Adidias Evo SL!

Bouncy, cushioned, and exciting to run in! Can easily pick up the pace for some fast strides during easy runs, and feels comfortable on long runs, as well as slow recovery jogs.

These are awesome daily trainers for shorter, quicker workouts. Wouldn't recommend bringing them out over 15k/9mi, but anything shorter and they're a dream to wear. Nice and light, and they get the job done.

Bought these to be an easy run shoe. They do a decent enough job handling that, plus some strides. When the shoes were brand new they were great. However, the foam is already starting to lose bounce around 150 miles.

Love these shoes for marathon training. Only complaint is the foam starts to degrade around 270 miles for me. Then I downgrade them to shorter runs to get a bit more lifespan.

Ok. Staff should understand the details of an actual running shoe in regards to last etc. Instead of the customer picking a shoe they should be offering suggestions based on the customers desire
