What about the SWAG?
Swag is the key to a great event which is why our super amazing sponsors stepped up and pulled out the stops. Each participants will receive a pair of goodr sunglasses; from Squad Locker a t-shirt, face mask, and draw string bag; Momentus with a discount code for their nutritional products, and a store discount at Marathon Sports when you pick up your swag bag.
How does it work?
Do you run with a GPS watch* or a smartphone? Then you’re all set for Automated & Verified results. You link it up to a PWR Lab Training App account – this is free, and requires no commitment or subscription to the PWR Lab Training App.
Don’t have a compatible device, or don’t want to use one? You can manually upload results on the Honor System as well.
*Compatible devices: anything that syncs ‘running’ activities to COROS, Garmin Connect, Suunto App, or Polar Flow. Smartphone users can download the Suunto App for free, and record runs directly on the phone.
Suunto Movescount, Apple Watch, Stava, Fitbit, or any others are not currently compatible, but can still be used in some cases through a third party (RunGap) or submitted as manual results.
Screenshots, GPX files, or any other device files will not be accepted for results verification.
Persons convicted of a performance enhancing (doping) violation per USATF, USADA, WADA, and others guidelines will not be eligible for any cash or other prizes.

The idea is simple: when we run together, it’s better.
Better Together is a virtual race series that focuses on developing a global community through physical movement and charitable donations.
CHARITY
Because Better Together believes that better health starts with access to better food, we are proud to donate 10% of proceeds to the Boston, Massachusetts based non-profit, Daily Table, founded by Doug Rauch (former President of Trader Joes). From Daily Table’s website:
“Daily Table is a nonprofit community grocer dedicated to providing fresh, tasty, convenient, and nutritious food to communities most in need at prices everyone can afford.”
THE RACE
The 1st annual Better Together Virtual 10K & Half Marathon will take place on Saturday, December 12, 2020. Participants are encouraged to complete their race any time in the week leading up to 5 pm EST on 12.12.20.
Registration cut off: Friday, October 9th, 2020
While keeping in mind the modern health challenges facing our global society, all Better Together events are 100% virtual. As a result, participants are able to create, train on, and run their very own course wherever they want in the world.
There will be a Zoom post-race cheers at 5 pm EST on 12.12.20 where everyone can come together and celebrate this amazing communal accomplishment!
TRAINING
Better Together has assembled a certified Trainer Team of coaches, instructors and nutritionists to help guide each runner to meet their race day performance goals. Runners of all levels are encouraged to sign up, train, and run with people from all over the world!
To make sure anyone can complete their 10K or Half Marathon goal, upon purchase of entry each participant will receive a 10K or Half Marathon 12-Week Training Program designed by Better Together team trainer, Teddy Cox (CSCS, CPT, FNT).
As part of this program, the Trainer Team has designed tailored workouts for runners to meet and exceed the end goal of running a long race. These workouts take place at 630 pm EST every Tues-Thurs, are sliding-scale entry ($5-25), and will enable each runner to meet the trainers and other runners.
COMMUNITY
With an emphasis on community, participants will have the support of the Better Together Trainer Team (strength & conditioning, yoga, and a nutritionist), and other runners at their fingertips when they join the Better Together slack channel. This is where runners can swap training tips, talk about training, ask trainers questions about their progress, and even generate running playlists to keep everyone motivated!
So let’s do this! If we all run together, we will be Better Together.
