What: Run for our Campers in April! Choose a distance and a day during the week of April 19 (Monday April 19–Sunday April 25) to have your own fun run for Camp Shriver! Shirts and medals are guaranteed for runners who register by March 15; after this date, shirt/medals available while supplies last.
BONUS! Runners who pledge over $600, will be able to join with our training partners, Coach Rick Muhr and the Marathon Coalition, for training beginning in January to May. Coach Rick will train you to run a 5K, 10K, half or full marathon… even if you have never run before! Support includes training schedule and weekly zoom meetings.

Looking for something to train for this winter all the while supporting a great cause? Do you like to Ruck, run, walk, bike, paddle, swim or hike? Create a team, join a team, or participate solo and help us to raise awareness and funds for Heroes In Transition! Heroes in Transition, Inc. was founded in 2009 in memory of Capt. Eric A. Jones, a Marine helicopter pilot, who lost his life while supporting a combat mission in Afghanistan, October 26, 2009. “He flew helicopters to be close to the troops on the ground and be there to help them when they needed it most,” said Cyndy Jones, Eric’s mother and co founder of Heroes in Transition. The organization carries on Capt. Jones’ mission by providing assistance to those who have served or who are serving our country. All miles that you cover during the weekend will count towards the overall goal – to see how many miles we can collectively ruck, run, walk, bike, paddle, swim, or hike while wearing a ruck sack, backpack or something similar. As every service member is forced to carry the burden of war during active service and beyond, carrying the ruck sack is symbolic of hardships endured and the perseverance required to complete the mission.
WHO: This event is for anyone that wants to challenge themselves and support the mission
WHERE: Anywhere you can get your miles in ( road, trail, pond, treadmill, etc…)
WHAT: Challenge yourself to participate in something you have NEVER done before. Have you always wanted to paddle a 10k, or walk a 5K? What about riding 100 miles, or running 20 miles? NOW is the time to think outside the box and challenge yourself. A minimum donation of $25.00 enters you into the weekend challenge.
TEAM CHALLENGE: Gather a team of unlimited participants to see how many miles you can collectively accumulate over the weekend. This can mean one person can walk, another person can paddle, and someone else can ruck! Be creative and do something you have never done before! Good news: we are working on a “home base” in Mashpee for interested teams. More information/details to follow.
INDIVIDUAL CHALLENGE: Individuals are also encouraged to participate and rack up as many miles as possible. Just remember to accomplish something ( or many somethings) you have never done before!

You have the option of running or walking a 5K (3.1 miles) or 10K (6.2 miles) along the route of your choice anytime from May 1 – 9, 2021. All participants who register on or before March 1, 2021 will receive a t-shirt in their requested size. If you register after March 1, 2021, we cannot guarantee that you will receive a shirt and sizing will be limited, although we will do our best to accommodate you!
We appreciate your participation in this event and thank you for supporting us with your registration fee. While no further fundraising is required, we hope you will consider increasing your support by setting up an individual or team fundraising page or joining a team. Minuteman Senior Services depends on generous donations to continue our mission to empower and advocate for those impacted by aging and disability. There is no fundraising minimum, so gifts of any amount are welcome. And pulling a team together is a fun way to participate!
If this is your first race or you are an avid runner, we encourage you to lace up your sneakers and “Spring Forward” with us in May!

LOCATION: Virtual – You are welcome to run the 10k anywhere you want! While the Cape Cod Canal remains open to the public, at this time we are unable to obtain a permit. Should that change before 5.9.2021 we will allow participants to opt in to run the race together. At this time the race will take place virtually. We want to ensure everyone has a great experience so we welcome any questions/comments/concerns or recommendations on how we can provide the best experience for the 2021 Mother’s Day 10k.

The 2021 6th Annual Boston Bulldogs Run for Recovery 5K and Tribute will be a virtual event with COVID-19 public health guidelines in place.
Everyone registered by April 30th will receive a Boston Bulldogs 2021 Run for Recovery 5K race shirt. And, we will be announcing some prizes and awards for this virtual version.
