Washington Square, a neighborhood better known for its eclectic fine dining, also happens to be at the bottom of one of the most welcomed downhills on the entire Marathon course, a few miles past the notorious Heartbreak Hill at the 23 mile mark. The location has served as the home of Marathon Sports Brookline since its doors opened in 1998, a year also noted for Marathon Sports winning its second BEST OF BOSTON award from Boston Magazine, having also won the year before.

Additionally, the store marks the first Marathon Sports location to have PARKING available in the rear of the store.
