Hello, Everyone!
Week Three, DONE! YAY! I had an awesome training week thanks to a few days of gorgeous weather.
I mentioned previously that I’m following a modified 12-week training plan, with two rest days rather than one. The flexibility of my schedule allows me to adjust my weekly runs to coincide with the crazy New England weather forecast! During week three, I swapped my 4-mile run and 5-mile run days. 5 miles went by so fast with the sun shining and temps near 50! The next day, it was only 25 and that soon-to-be-famous Cape Cod wind. Let me tell you, those 4 miles couldn’t go by any faster. Beautiful scenery helps though!
As a Saturday Long Run girl, I had another gorgeous weather day! 45 degrees, a bit of cloud cover and a slight wind. What was supposed to be a 12-mile run was extended to 13.1. In my head, I knew I had another mile in me. I could have done a better job determining my end point, though. I had to run past my house to complete the 13.1. Is there anything worse than that?!
I ended the week with a total 31.18 miles and two hours of yoga. As training progresses, I hope to incorporate more yoga. I always feel great after stretching my weary muscles. The adidas Energy Boost continues to be a comfy shoe. Next week, I’ll be talking about my experience with the adidas Ultra Boost and taking some of my training off the road, too!
One thing I missed out on during week 3 training, which my fellow ambassador Seth did not, was National Pizza Day. No worries though, I’m going to celebrate this week!
Until next time, make it a great day!
